Lace Up for the Lake Ellyn 1-Mile Classic and Kids Dash on September 15

The Glen Ellyn Park District is excited to announce the Lake Ellyn 1-Mile Classic and Kids Dash, taking place on Sunday, September 15, at Lake Ellyn Park, located at 645 Lenox Road. This community event invites participants of all ages to enjoy a scenic one-mile loop around the picturesque lake, making it a perfect opportunity for families and friends to come together and celebrate fitness and fun.
The schedule for the event is as follows:
- 8 am: Kids Dash (ages 1-5)
- 8:30 am: Ages 6-12
- 8:45 am: Ages 13-17
- 9 am: Ages 18+
Participants in the Kids Dash will race the final stretch of the course, and adults may accompany children but do not need to register.
Registration Details:
- Registration Fee: $20 (includes a t-shirt)

Packet Pickup:
- September 11-13: Available at Ackerman SFC during front desk hours
- Race Morning: At Lake Ellyn Park beginning at 7:30 am
Awards will be presented for each age group/category, adding to the excitement of this fun-filled event. Participants are encouraged to register early at gepark.org/register to secure their spot.
