Ackerman Parking Lot – Construction Update (October 22, 2024)
Posted on: October 22, 2024
Construction on the perimeter ‘ring road’ parking lot at Ackerman Park is underway. This important project aims to enhance the parking lot by improving the surfacing, widening the aisles and stalls, and increasing accessibility for all visitors. The current asphalt is original and has surpassed its useful life.
Construction is expected to last until Thanksgiving, during which time parts of the lot will be closed. Temporary parking and alternate routes will be provided to ensure a smooth experience for all users. Please plan ahead and follow posted signs for detours and access. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we undertake these vital improvements.
Work Anticipated This Week (October 21-25):
- Construction will not interfere with the Ackerman Haunted Trail and Boo Bash events this coming weekend.
- Continued demolition of east parking lots.
- Import of stone and widening of swales.
Work Anticipated for Next Week (October 28-November 1):
- Continued demolition of east parking lots.
- Import of stone and widening of swales.
